הכותרת הצרפתית מתייחסת אל מונח סלנג שמשמעותו בלאגן או כאוס, אבל בצמד המילים "כפר נחום", אותו יישוב יהודי לחופי הכנרת שהיה חביב גם על ישו. העלילה מתרחשת בכלל בלבנון, וכמו "העלבון", הסרט המדובר הקודם של המדינה השכנה שלא הגיע לישראל מסיבות ברורות, סיפור המעשה עטוף בדרמה משפטית. במרכז הסרט ילדון שגילו לא ידוע בוודאות, המבקש לתבוע את הוריו על שהולידו אותו. כאשר נפרש סיפור חייו שמתחיל בבית הרוס וממשיך באשפתות, פשוטו כמשמעו, אפשר להבין את התביעה. סרטה של נאדין לבאקי ("Where Do We Go Now", "קרמל") זכה בפרס חבר השופטים בפסטיבל קאן וקרוב מאוד לייצג את לבנון באוסקר.
