Vuonna 1944 kommandoryhmä saa tehtävän vapauttaa Amerikkalainen kenraali, jonka kone on pudonnut Saksan miehittämälle alueelle. Luotettu upseeri johtaa seitsenhenkistä iskuryhmää, jonka kyvykkäin jäsen on amerikkalainen luutnatti Schaffer.
