"Die Wilden Hühner" sind 4 an der Zahl: Sprotte, Melanie, Trude und Frieda. Zusammen bilden die vier die coolste Mädchengang der 5. Klasse und hauptsächlich sind die vier damit beschäftigt die Jungs von der Konkurrenzgang "Pygmäen" in schach zu halten. Die Bande um Fred und seinen Jungs: Torte, Steve und Willi läßt keine Gelegenheit aus um den "Hühnern" eins auszuwischen. Frieden scheint zwischen den beiden Banden nicht möglich. Als die Mädchen jedoch herausfinden, das Oma Slättberg plant ihre Hennen zu schlachten und Suppenhühner daraus zu machen, muß ein Plan zur Rettung her und ausgerechnet nur die Jungs von den "Pygmäen" können noch helfen.
