Parker er den mest dristige, grundige og hensynsløse tyv i branchen. Han er ekspert i planlægning og udførelse af tilsyneladende umulige røverier. Det eneste, han forlanger af sit team er ubetinget loyalitet, samt at hans plan følges til punkt og prikke. Men da det sidste job ender med et dødsfald på grund af uforsigtighed, afslår Parker at deltage i gangsterchefen Melanders næste store kup. A gang of jewel thieves rob a house which has just become empty following the recent death of it's rich lady owner. The robbery is not a complete success and one of the gang hides the jewels in the house as he's about to be captured.
