Vos per keletą savaičių jaunuolis nutraukė daugiau nei 140-ties vokiečių kareivių gyvybes, sunaudodamas tik po 1 - 2 kulkas vienam taikiniui. Gandas apie Vasilijų Zaicevą pasiekia patį Hitlerį. Pastarasis nejuokais susirūpina ir į Stalingrado mūšį meta dar vieną savo kozirį: į miestą prie Volgos išvyksta profesionalus ir bebaimis nacių snaiperis Maršalas Kionigas. Jo užduotis - pašalinti garsiausią Rusijos snaiperį Vasilijų Zaicevą. Jam atvykus, miesto griuvėsiuose prasideda nenuspėjamas ir neįtikėtinas dviejų profesionalių snaiperių žaidimas.
