影片与《鬼影实录》同样采用伪纪录片风格的拍摄方式，剧情更是基本复制了《鬼影实录》：一对年轻夫妇搬进新家，谁知这竟是一间凶宅，妻子遭遇鬼附身，男主人（马龙·韦恩斯 饰）于是请来各路神仙驱魔，试图挽救自己的幸福生活，或者说“性”福生活。影片其实并非仅仅恶搞了《鬼影实录》，前年北美大卖的另一部伪纪录恐怖片《驱魔》也未能幸免。
