Robert Redford a Jane Fondová si budují hnízdečko lásky až pod střechou. Novomanželská dvojice, advokát Paul a jeho ženuška Corie se po líbánkách prožitých v hotelovém pokoji konečně stěhují do svého prvního společného hnízdečka lásky. Tím je skromný podkrovní byt v šestém poschodí, navíc bez výtahu. Jak se zdá, jejich ložnice je tu menší, než původně měla být. Do kuchyně, která je současně předsíní i obytným pokojem občas dírou v stropě vane i vítr. A také tu vůbec nefunguje topení, přitom venku je v tuhle roční dobu už docela mrazivo. Není divu, že byt se stane příčinou všech hádek mezi novomanželi... Komedie byla natočena podle stejnojmenné hry dramatika Neila Simona. Navenek poněkud upjatého Paula ztvárnil Robert Redford. Jeho herectví jsme mohli sledovat ve filmech Ukradený diamant, Orlové práva, Obyčejní lidé, Vzpomínky na Afriku, Kandidát, Havana). Jeho novomanželku Corii představuje Jane Fondová (Štvanice, Koně se také střílejí, Klute, Návrat domů, Vlastní pravidla).

They find an apartment, but fame and fortune are a lot more elusive. Ruth gets the attention of playboy publisher Bob Baker when she submits a story about her gorgeous sister Eileen. She tries to keep his attention by convincing him that she and the gorgeous, man-getting Eileen are one and the same person.
