In de Mississippi Delta zit de voormalige kooivechter Jack met een berg schulden die hij aan de maffia dient terug te betalen. Zoniet dan raakt hij zijn ouderlijke huis kwijt, dat veel voor zijn stervende pleegmoeder betekent. Om aan de som geld te geraken, besluit Jack een laatste keer te vechten.
