今から千年ほど昔。北の国に住むバイキングたちは恐れられ、またその勇敢さを称えられていた。しかし、そんな屈強な男たちのなか、ちょっと変わった赤い髪の男の子がいた。彼の名前はビッケ。彼は力こそ弱いもののとても知恵があり優しい心を持っていた。ある日、ビッケが凧で空を飛んでいると悪いバイキングに村が襲われ子供たちが誘拐されてしまう。高い木に引っかかりビッケだけは無事でしたが、お父さんで族長のハルバルは大人の男たちを集合させ、海賊船で一味を追う。おいてきぼりを食らったビッケは、そっと樽に隠れて海賊船に密航。おとなたちと一緒に冒険の旅に出かける。

The film was produced with contributions from more than 2,000 individuals and released in theatres in February 2014.
