Belko-nimisen Kolumbian Bogotassa toimivan yrityksen tehtävä on helpottaa yhdysvaltalaisten firmojen toimintaa Etelä-Amerikassa. Eräänä näennäisen tavallisena työpäivänä toimistoon ilmestyy uusia vartijoita, paikalliset työntekijät lähetetään kotiin ja jäljelle jäävät 80 amerikkalaista huomaavat pian tulleensa panssaroidun rakennuksen nielaisemiksi. Heidän syrjäseudulla sijaitseva useampikerroksinen toimistorakennuksensa on yhtäkkiä sinetöity vankilaksi ilman yhteyksiä ulkomaailmaan. Yrityksen sisäisestä kaiutinärjestelmästä kuuluva tuntematon ääni määrää heidät osallistumaan tappavaan peliin - joko tapat tai tulet tapetuksi. Väki jakaantuu neljään ryhmään: osa pysyy haasteen edessä periaatteellisena, osa alkaa laskelmoida kylmästi. Jotkut turvautuvat piileskelemiseen, mutta suurin osa lamaantuu laumaksi, joka on valmis seuraamaan ketä tahansa turvallisen oloista johtajaa. Näin brutaalin raakoja elokuvia päätyy harvoin Suomessa levitykseen. Elokuva ei ole saanut turhaan K-18 leimaa.

In the spring of 2010, a church lock in at First Baptist Church was organized by Pastor Chris. In the first hour of the lock in, one of the students, Justin, had an unusual “incident” and was “inconsolable.” It was reported that he calmed down and kept to himself for the remainder of the event.
