The main character, Yuuta, is supposed to be the viewer's younger brother who goes off to study abroad on a small island in the Atlantic that can not be found on any map. The school he enters is called St. Alphonse Academy. The boys who study here are all "marginal princes" which appears to mean Princes of remote, frontier or border regions.

When history teacher Matt Bashir is promoted to Principal of a notoriously violent Boys' school in Sydney's south-west, his radical approach brings him into conflict and leaves his personal life dangerously exposed. But just when he seems to be making progress, a 17-year-old student is found dead on school grounds.

A high school loner who has difficulty making new friends joins the school's student council to meet new people — but discovers that making friends may be harder than it seems.

An all-boys school with a tradition of Princesses, boys chosen to dress up as girls to create tension between the students. Yutaka Mikoto, Shihoudani Yuujirou and Kouno Tooru are this year's chosen Princess team. Unsatisfied with the efforts of the current Princesses, Hanazono Otoya creates his own team of Dark Princesses to rival for the students' attention.
