Besättningen ombord på ett räddningsfartyg, som befinner sig långt ute på Barents hav, gör en fasansfull upptäckt, nämligen resterna av en stor passagerarbåt, som förliste för mer än 40 år sedan. När räddningspersonalen väl lyckas ta sig ombord på fartyget, konfronteras man med dess kusliga förflutna och tvingas kämpa för sina liv.
