Kultovní akční film je situován do Austrálie blízké budoucnosti. Policista Max spolu se svým parťakem Jimem při pronásledování zabije nebezpečného gangstera přezdívaného Noční jezdec. Později Max s Jimem zatknou další nebezpečného psychopata, jemuž se říká Johnny Chlapeček z motorkářského gangu vedeného nebezpečným Toecutterem. Johnny je však propuštěn a s pomocí Toecuttera a jeho gangu vyhledají Jima, kterého zmrzačí. Rozrušený Max odchází od policie, bere svou ženu a malého syna a vyráží na cestu po Austrálii. Cestou však potkávají Toecuttera s gangem.

The final denouement is about to explode, as Riley also arrives on the scene. With under-par acting and a patchy plot, this film was never released theatrically.
