Zanikne mesto tak, ako bájna babylonská veža, alebo dôjde k zmieru?

Jedine Sudcovia môžu a smú bojovať na tomto Bohom zabudnutom mieste všetkými dostupnými prostriedkami proti kriminalite. Dredd, najobávanejší a najradikálnejší zo všetkých Sudcov, je skalopevne rozhodnutý zbaviť mesto tej najväčšej to všetkých pliag, a tak sa spolu s mladou regrútkou Cassandrou Andersonovou, pustí do nerovného a zdanlivo beznádejného boja s vražednou pološialenou mafiánkou menom Ma-Ma – drsnou narkobarónkou, ktorá kruto a neohrozene vládne najväčšiemu z miestnych slumov. Keď sa Dreddovi a Andersonovej podarí chytiť jedného z členov jej zvlčilého klanu, rozpúta Ma-Ma nemilosrdnú vojnu pre ochranu – alebo skôr za záchranu - svojho impéria.
