Sean heeft geld nodig, en wel snel. Wanneer zijn maatje Dee Loc met het plan komt om in een autowasserij te gaan werken moeten ze de eigenaar, Mr. Washington, van hun kunnen overtuigen. Washington, die niet weet dat de twee elkaar kennen, huurt Sean in als Dee Loc's baas. Wanneer Mr. Washington ontvoerd wordt komen ze voor een nieuw probleem te staan.

Een gewetenloze misdadiger kidnapt de vrouw en kind van een bankmanager. Om die bank te kunnen beroven doet hij zich voor als een detective voor een verzekeringsbedrijf. Enkele van de bankmedewerkers komen achter dit plan, en de manager moet hen overhalen niets te doen. De politie, die al van deze zaak wist, doet alles eraan om alles zonder bloed vergieten op te lossen.

Paul Kriza is a cashier of a bank in a small town, and the happy husband of Anna and the father of four children. He is sent to New York to deliver some securities for the bank. There, he is tagged as easy-pickings by a con-game gang and Mary Brown, gang accomplice, proves he is. Waking up in the morning he discovers he has been robbed of the securities and, when he confronts the gang, he is hit on the head and taken out to be left on a railroad track. He comes to, struggles with the henchman and the man is killed when a train comes roaring by. Paul escapes but his watch is found and he is reported as the dead man. But he can't go home again.

The honest and meticulous cashier, Savvas, works in a business and is often pressured by his wife’s siblings to embezzle money from his job and lend it to them. When his manager, leaving on a trip, entrusts him with a million drachmas without a receipt, Savvas succumbs to the pressure and gives some of the money to his brother-in-law. In the end, however, an unexpected development awaits Savvas, since his manager is killed in an airplane crash and he has to decide what to do with the money.

August, a teenage grocery store cashier, faces a difficult choice: Does she stop and help a young single mother in need, or turn a blind eye for the sake of her job?
