Quant à la Troisième loi, elle mentionne qu'un robot doit protéger sa propre existence tant que cette protection n'est pas incompatible avec la Première ou la Deuxième loi.Mais le détective Spooner enquête sur un meurtre ayant été vraisemblablement commis par un robot, ce qui semblerait a priori impossible au vu de l'existence de ces trois lois...
