In 1928 wordt een geheimzinnige metalen ring in Egypte gevonden. 65 jaar later komt onderzoeker Daniel Jackson erachter dat de ring een portaal is naar een andere wereld. Samen met een groep militairen, geleid door kolonel Jack O’Neill gaan ze de andere wereld onderzoeken, maar Jackson komt erachter dat O’Neill een andere opdracht heeft meegekregen dan hij aanvankelijk dacht.

More than 170 years later, the museum's Egyptologists are continuing the work of their famous predecessor.
