Après s'être échappée avec Newt et Hicks de la planète alien, Ripley s'écrase sur Florina 161, une planète prison qui héberge un pénitencier. Malheureusement Newt et Hicks ne survivent pas au crash, au contraire d'un visiteur indésirable. La prison ne tolérant aucun arme, et l'aide étant lointaine, les prisonniers doivent survivre avec ce qu'ils ont sur place.
