But today a growing group of Black trans folks have emerged to reclaim that space. Jayce started the Kiki House of Bodega and Ballroom Encounters to offer safe spaces for the Black queer community, often people whose own families rejected them for who they are.

She realizes she cannot fulfill her aspiration as an educator in the current education system and starts making peace with life of her own accord.

The film shines a spotlight on the abuse of power in the church and the growing transphobia in the LGBTQ+ community in South Korea. And it poses the question: Can there ever be a real safe space?
