I Woody Allens nye komedie 'To Rome with Love' mødes mennesker på kryds og tværs i Rom gennem fire historier. I én historie møder vi den kendte arkitekt John (Alec Baldwin), der er på ferie i byen, hvor han boede som ung. Her møder han den unge fyr Jack (Jesse Eisenberg), der forelsker sig i hans kæreste Sallys (Greta Gerwig) flirtende veninde Monica (Ellen Page). I en anden plottråd opdager den pensionerede operachef Jerry (Woody Allen), at hans kommende svigersøns far har tenor-evner ud over det sædvanlige.
