Power Rangers, ABD'de 1993 yılından beri yayımlanmakta olan bir bilim kurgu-macera dizisi ile film serisinin ortak adıdır. Diziye gösterilen ilginin ardından 1995 yılında Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, 1997 yılında ise Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie adlı filmler çekilmiştir.1992-1993 sezonunda Japonya'da yayımlanan Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger adındaki Japon dizisinin ABD uyarlamasıdır. Dizinin ABD'de önce Zyu (Okunuşu: Jū) Rangers adıyla yayınlanması planlanmış, ancak Yahudileri aşağlayan "Jew" kelimesine benzediği için Power Rangers olarak değiştirilmiştir.Dizi iyi uzaylıların yardımıyla, dünyayı kötü uzaylılardan kurtaran gençlerin maceralarını anlatmaktadır.
