Kriminálka Anděl is a Czech crime drama television series which premiered on TV Nova in 2008. Third season was shooting since April 2010 and broadcast since March 21, 2011. This TV series has an origin in the Slovak crime series Mesto tieňov.

The story of the series takes place on the island of Hvar, where a central pair of Czech-Slovak detectives helps to solve crimes involving Czech and Slovak tourists. Together, they must restore the disrupted harmony of the sunny island. The mixed local police force gets to investigate even the most serious crimes. The rule is clear. City of the Shadows is original Slovak crime TV series, broadcast since April 11, 2008 on the Markíza. It was produced by DNA Production company. The episodes are based on real events.
