Na malom exotickom ostrove si žije sebaistý papagáj Utorok so svojimi zvieracími kamarátmi ako v raji. Aj napriek tomu Utorok neprestajne sníva o tom, ako objaví svet. Po prudkej búrke nájde Utorok na pláži podivné stvorenie: Robinsona Crusoa. Utorok okamžite vidí Crusoa ako svoju letenku z ostrova, aby mohol preskúmať nové krajiny. Crusoe čoskoro zistí, že kľúčom k prežitiu na opustenom ostrove je práve pomoc Utorka a jeho kamarátov. Dorozumieť sa s nimi však vôbec nie je jednoduché, pretože zvieratá nehovoria ľudskou rečou. Pomaly ale isto začnú všetci žiť spolu v harmónii, až do jedného dňa, keď je ich pohodlný život obrátený naruby dvoma divnými mačkami, ktoré chcú ovládnuť ostrov. Strhne sa bitka, vďaka ktorej objavia Crusoe a zvieratá skutočnú silu priateľstva v boji proti všetkému neočakávanému (i dvom mačkám).
