In the Edo era, there was a legendary samurai named Kyutaro Madarame who was feared as "Madara the Devil". He was somehow hired to kill a cat named Tamanojo. Just before Kyutaro slashed down upon Tamanojo, he saw that Tamanojo was looking into his eyes and saying "meow". But why?

한 때 공포의 검객으로 불렸던 '큐타로'는 마성의 고양이 '다마노죠'와 고향으로 돌아와 두문불출하던 중, 잔소리쟁이 장모의 성화에 못 이겨 시코쿠 외곽 지역의 섬 토사에서 검술 교관을 하기로 결심한다. 애묘 다마노죠와 함께 토사로 가는 길, 온갖 역경과 고난이 그들을 기다린다. 사실 이 모든 것은 딸과 그를 이혼시키려는 장모의 계략이었는데… 과연 그들은 토사에 무사히 도착할 수 있을까? 또 무슨 일이 이 천하무적 커플을 기다리고 있을까?

He was somehow hired for killing a cat named Tamanojo. Just before Kyutaro slashes on Tamanojo, he realizes that Tamanojo looking into his eyes and said "meow". But why?
