Discuter de Wallace & Gromit Collection

Item: Wallace & Gromit Collection

Language: en-US

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit appears to have been removed at some point. It should be re-added unless there was a reason it was removed? Seems like a no brainer for it to stay?

Short movies and feature length movies aren't allowed in the same collection.

The 'no mixing' rule exists for good reasons...

But it absolutely does not make sense to be applied in this example. The Wallace & Gromit established itself as 30 min short films and 'graduated' to a feature length movie, before returning to the original 30 mins... This is not a case of short films being made to exploit a blockbuster franchise, or to fill in between feature length release. Each W&G film, no matter the length, is a W&G film... And there are 5 W&G films in its filmography.

EVERY kid, parent, fan of Wallace & Gromit that opens the 'Wallace & Gromit Collection' in their media browser will immediately say "Where's Curse of the Were-Rabbit???"... And then get angry, and/or worried that it's not available, and start crying... Perhaps even the kids, too!

Again, the 'no mixing' rule makes perfect sense almost all of the time. But it simply doesn't here. The situation is not 'normal'. An exception should be made for the reasons above. TIA.

I support all of cheeseandjamsandwich comments. Curse of the Were-Rabbit, or indeed any future Wallace and Gromit films, is a sequel and continuation rather than the usual sort of bonus short film post feature film that may be the cause for the referenced rule.

Besides, what actually defines a film being "short" in TMDB rules? The answer is: nothing, it's purely arbitrary. So if I were to say less than twenty minutes is short, then all the Wallace and Gromit films can be grouped together. Hurrah. Rules (and laws) should never be static and unchanging but should be updated according to the users needs.

I agree

Hi, are the short films true sequels, meaning one story going from the first to the last movie? That all short films take place in the same universe with the same characters is established.
