Collections are really just for proper sequels. The three Madagascar films are numbered sequels that follow the same four main characters. However, Penguins of Madagascar is a spin-off that focuses on the penguins and isn't numbered (Madagascar 4). This is better explained in the guidelines: https://www.themoviedb.org/bible/collection
