Discuss The Mist

Unfortunately, I decided to watch the show, even though after the fantastic 2007 movie, nothing more needed to be said about this story. I cannot stand the leading actors, who play Eve and Kevin, especially Kevin, who seems to have been chosen for his depressed look and droopy eyes (yes, we know that the character is depressed and will live through even more depressing situations...) and his very bad line-delivery. And Alyssa Sutherland, playing Eve, is supposed to have been a sex animal in her high school years? She looks more like a virgin elf from TLOTR than an ex-slut-turned good mommy. Bad acting, bad storyline, bad dialogues, failed casting. Please let this be the one and only season of this show.

I hate their stupid daughter the most. I swear to God!

This disaster needs to go away and be forgotten about - quickly. It ruins the legacy of the superb 2007 film. I can't believe Stephen King would sanction this complete mess and rape of his idea. It is most likely written by first time writers. If not, it should be the last thing these writers are allowed to destroy. They make the rookie error of continually introducing new characters - simply so they can be killed. Take Kevin's stupid brother. We never heard a thing about him. Yet in the span of 30 minutes, he's introduced, given a few horrible background scenes in a feeble attempt to provide context, and then killed. Why bother???

Because they needed to give Kevin a lame reason to become edgier and more badass, so that they could go on with the story. One-dimensional characters all of them.
