LO SO is a solicitor at Shing & Nam Solicitors. He wants to have a quiet Christmas at home but the noisy neighbors are forcing him to go out. His good friend and colleague, solicitor YU DOR-CHUN, calls him and asks him to borrow money for making credit card payment but LO SO rejects him. JAZZ NAM is one of the partners at Shing & Nam Solicitors and he used to be a singer long time ago. He calls LO SO and LO SO teases him. SING MING, the other partner of the firm, is married to KU KA-TING. They have got twin sons SHING FONG and SHING YI. The two sons are keeping SHING MING busy all the time. LO SO discovers an abandoned baby inside the shopping mall. The security guard misconceives that he has abandoned the baby and LO SO is sent to the police station. LO SO meets the KU KA-YING again at the police station since she is the lawyer of the woman who abandoned the baby. LO SO and KA-YING were against each other five years ago……

Five years ago, KA-YING was still a trainee and she met the wealthy CHUNG TING-HANG while parking her car. TING-HANG is married but he reveals that it is only a political marriage and he doesn't love his wife at all. TING-HANG and KA-YING's relationship become the magazine cover story very soon. KA-TING blames KA-YING for being the other woman and KA-YING lies to her that she is dating with LO SO instead. TING-HANG proposes marriage to KA-YING. LO SO tells KA-YING that he is the witness of TING-HANG's divorce. LO SO accompanies KA-YING to Rome to wait for TING-HANG but he discovers the sweet photos of TING-HANG and his wife published on the magazine... During the meeting, DOR-CHUN requests to change the secretary but everybody believe that DOR-CHUN's wife CHUNG LAI-SA would not accept it. JAZZ's client Mrs HUNG wants to sue B A MAN fitness center……

SIU-NA reveals that all colleagues refuse to join the Sedan Chair Race. SHING MING tries to seduce them with rewards. B A MAN refuses to accept JAZZ's proposed settlement agreement on behalf of Mrs HUNG and DOR-CHUN. DOR-CHUN reveals that he will sue B A MAN and JAZZ suggests carrying out investigation on the models in the promotional leaflets of their slimming programs. LAI-SA arrives with the model LEON and LEON reveals how the fitness center is cheating others. B A MAN finally agrees to make compensation. SIU-NA reveals once again that all colleagues prefer to have a one hundred dollar red pocket for New Year than to join the Sedan Chair Race. KA-YING follows KA-TING again and KA-TING discovers her. KA-TING recalls how KA-YING has gone to England years ago. LAI-SA follows DOR-CHUN and discovers that he is trying to please a lady at the car park. LAI-SA suddenly arrives at the law firm and reveals that she wants to work there...

LO SO is having a meeting with his client for a long time at the office. LAI-SA cannot bear it and she points out the client's key problem directly. Everybody is embarrassed. JAZZ plays guitar and sings at his home's balcony. His client as well as his fans FANNY suddenly arrives and asks him to compose a song for her 4th wedding ceremony. JAZZ reveals that he hasn't compose any songs for a long time. FANNY knows that JAZZ has stopped composing after being accused of copying others' songs long time ago. However, she knows that JAZZ still has strong interest in singing and she encourages him. In order to find inspiration for his song, JAZZ goes to do a lot of voluntary works and he joins the single-parent family counseling group as well. JAZZ tries to date YAU MAT but she gives him a lesson instead. SHING MING wants JAZZ to recommend a barrister……

The Games Company delivers 208 boxes of documents to the law firm on the day before going to court. SHING MING asks all colleagues to work overtime and read all the documents. LO SO goes to the flower shop to order red roses with a wedding ring. DOR-CHUN suddenly suffers from pneumothorax and LAI-SA sends him to the hospital immediately. JAZZ invites a Feng Shui master to practise geomancy at the company and they discover an important document of the case... JAZZ goes to drink at the pub. He meets YAT MAT there and he suddenly has inspiration for the song. LAW LAN and TING-HANG return to Hong Kong from England. LO SO discovers LAW LAN, TING-HANG and LAI-SA at the graveyard. He turns away immediately but TING-HANG discovers him. LAI-SA goes to a pub at the walled village and she discovers that DOR-CHUN is drunk already……

KA-YING asks LO SO to keep the secret of SHING FONG but LO SO reveals that he will fight for the right of TING-HANG. A client from Mainland China deposits 30 million dollars at the law firm. SHING MING tries to keep the money in the safe but KO KWAI sees the passwords accidentally. SHING MING visits LO SO at night. He reveals that he has asked private detective to check the whereabouts of KA-YING before. He asks LO SO to inform him before telling the secret to TING-HANG. New Year is coming and SHING MING successfully persuades KA-TING to allow KA-YING to join their New Year dinner. The 30 million dollars in the safe is gone. KO KWAI is injured and he claims that SHING MING has stolen the money. JAZZ reveals that if they could raise the money within 3 days, the problem will be solved. KA-TING blames JAZZ for not able to raise any money……

KA-TING tries to raise money by selling the flat. The potential buyer wants to dismantle the planters at the garden. SHING FONG and SHING YI try to stop it. Time is running out and KA-TING stops JAZZ from calling the police. The Mainland China client questions them if the money has gone... DOR-CHUN's cousin DOR-TIN is accused by his ex-staff MIMI for firing her without a proper reason. DOR-TIN asks DOR-CHUN to handle the case for her but LAI-SA takes up the case. LAW LAN visits the prison and discovers that the prisoner TO SAM has taken four years of unjust imprisonment but TO SAM refuses to leave the prison. LO SO tells TO SAM that he will fight for compensation from the government without charging him. KA-YING arrives and she wants to help TO SAM to get the compensation as well. TO SAM meets up with his wife but his wife says that past is past and she doesn't want to see him anymore……

SHING YI misses his father and he asks KA-TING when will he return. SHING FONG asks KA-YING what happened in the past. KA-YING reveals that she has wasted many years before and she will take up her responsibility from now on. KA-YING keeps asking LO SO to let her handle TO SAM's court case. TOR-TIN meets up with MIMI and her lawyer at Shing & Nam. He carelessly provides evidence proving that he has fired MIMI unreasonably. KA-YING meets up with TO SAM at the restaurant he used to own. TO SAM reveals that the current restaurant owner wants to sell the place and he needs the compensation for buying the restaurant again. DOR-CHUN plays a sad song alone for he suspects that LAI-SA's true love is not him. KA-YING reveals that she has given the evidence to the laboratory for tests. LO SO appears to be indifferent but he helps KA-TING secretly. LAI-SA reveals that after considering DOR-CHUN's words, she decides to divorce him...

LAI-SA prefers to have a divorce than to have baby and DOR-CHUN is very disappointed. KA-YING says that DOR-CHUN doesn't know women well and DOR-CHUN reveals to KA-YING that LO SO has helped her secretly for the court case. DOR-CHUN tries to release his emotions by drinking in the pub. YAU MAT invites him to dance together. She tells DOR-CHUN that LAI-SA will fight for him if she discovers that they are together. JAZZ looks for DOR-CHUN at YAU MAT's yacht and he is shocked to discover that YAU MAT and DOR-CHUN are sleeping together. SHEUNG BUT-KOON applies for a trainee position at Shing & Nam but KA-YING rejects him. JAZZ is mesmerized by YAU MAT when she picks up the urchins from the sea. When the three of them leaves the yacht, LAI-SA suddenly arrives. JAZZ tries to challenge BUT-KOON with table football game. If BUT-KOON wins, he can become an apprentice. BUT-KOON wins eventually. LO SO's boss MA TAI-CHUNG takes off his watch……

DOR-CHUN and the others listen to BUT-KOON's conversation with his mentor secretly. They follow him and discover that BUT-KOON's mentor is LO SO. JAZZ persuades LO SO to return but LO SO rejects him firmly. LO SO delivers the divorce agreement to LAI-SA and he reveals that another copy has been sent to DOR-CHUN already. DOR-CHUN goes to blame LAI-SA for being heartless. KA-TING discovers KA-YING working inside the meeting room and she tries to fight for LO SO's office on behalf of KA-YING. JAZZ rejects her for he believes that LO SO will return. KA-TING says that the office is such a mess. JAZZ starts a quarrel with her. SHING FONG and SHING YI discover SHING MING on TV. KA-TING decides to look for him in USA. KA-YING helps her sister to announce the new administration policy. All stationery and toilet papers would be allocated to each person on a limited basis. Everybody is not accustomed to it……

KA-YING is ill but she is not taking medicine since she has to drive the children to school. KA-YING receives a call from KA-TING. KA-TING is arrested by the police in USA for they suspect that she is printing fake tickets. KA-YING asks LO SO to help taking care of the children for she has to work in the court. KA-YING's condition is getting worse when she returns. LO SO has no choice but to send her home and help taking care of the children. LAI-SA is drunk when she returns and she doesn't resist having sex with DOR-CHUN. DOR-CHUN fails to find a condom and he borrows it from TING-HANG... KA-YING is still sick and LO SO helps her to send the children to school. TAI-CHUNG wants to give KA-YING a lesson and he asks LO SO to give suggestions. LO SO suggests sticking some papers on KA-YING's hair when doing the set up. KA-YING has revealed to MARY that TAI-CHUNG has given an indecent proposal to her……

KA-YING's client is suddenly absent and TING-HANG arrives instead. They talk about LO SO and TING-HANG reveals that KA-YING has misunderstood LO SO. SHING FONG and SHING YI's teacher reveals that the brothers are beginning to be curious about sex. The teacher asks KA-YING to teach her children something about sex and KA-YING plays tricks in order to get help from LO SO. LO SO teaches the children to eat a balanced diet and to prevent wetting the bed in his own way. KA-YING is surprised to discover LO SO crying when watching TV. SIU-NA returns to office early in the morning to steal some stationery and she discovers that SHING MING is back. SHING MING reveals that he has returned the money to the safe already. DOR-CHUN and the others question SHING MING why he has taken away the money and disappeared suddenly. KA-YING scolds him for not contacting them at all and she reveals that KA-TING is arrested by the police in USA……

BUT-KOON plays trick on LO SO while he is in the toilet. LO SO has no choice but to take BUT-KOON as his apprentice. KA-TING and JAZZ return to Hong Kong together. They appear to be embarrassed. LAI-SA is shocked to learn that she is pregnant. After learning about the truth, she kicks DOR-CHUN away from home angrily and she claims that she will have an abortion soon. LAI-SA's mother goes to the university and she finds TAI-CHUNG giving a talk there. When LAW LAN leaves, TAI-CHUNG rushes out to talk to her. He reveals that he hasn't meet LAW LAN for forty years already and he questions LAW LAN if she is trying to hide away from him. JACOBS is given a Police Superintendent's Discretion after kissing his pretty schoolmate TONG CHI-KWAN by force. CHI-KWAN's mother even asks for compensation……

DOR-CHUN stays in JAZZ's home temporarily after leaving home. YAU MAT visits them to reveal that JACOBS' condition is very bad and she asks them to do something as soon as possible. DOR-CHUN's aunt visits him since DOR-CHO has reported to the police that she has stolen something. DOR-CHUN brings her aunt to LAI-SA for help. LAI-SA tries to reject them but she finally agrees to help. The loquat tree at LAW LAN's villa is being damaged by corrosive liquids and LAW LAN asks the gardener to save the tree. TAI-CHUNG takes out LAW LAN's photo secretly. In order to prevent his wife from discovering the photo, he put it inside a book. However, MARY has given the book to KA-YING as a souvenir. SHING MING changes completely and KA-TING seeks help from JAZZ tearfully. JAZZ says that SHING MING should treasure KA-TING. SHING MING books the whole restaurant for dinner with KA-TING but he actually wants to propose a divorce……

LO SO reveals to SHING MING that LAW LAN is suspicious about SHING FONG. He asks SHING MING to remind KA-YING about it but SHING MING rejects him. KA-TING calls LO SO for help. LO SO rushes to her place and he starts to have good feelings on KA-YING. YAU MAT and JAZZ wear their old school uniforms to join the joint school party for they want to talk to CHI-KWAN again. CHI-KWAN's mother discovers them but YAU MAT says that they are the guest performers of the party. JACOBS announces to everybody that he will quit school. He apologizes to CHI-KWAN by singing a love song to her. LAI-SA is pregnant and she gets mad all the time when handling the court case of DOR-CHUN's aunt. DOR-CHUN tries to please her in every way. KA-TING agrees to have a divorce and SHING MING signs on the agreement immediately. However, this is actually a trick and SHING MING has signed an agreement to hire KA-TING instead……

SHING MING agrees to handle a court case for a shameless man and the case is assigned to JAZZ and YAU MAT. However, SHING MING has already bribed the top twenty barristers in town. KA-YING learns about the news from BUT-KOON and she feels that SHING MING has is no longer the same person. LO SO returns the red dress that costs 30 thousand dollars to KA-YING. KA-YING is very worried about her sister and she keeps asking LO SO to give advice. On the other hand, LAW LAN suspects that one of KA-TING's sons is TING-HANG's son and she asks LO SO to carry out investigation. LAI-SA wins the court case of DOR-CHUN's aunt easily. DOR-CHUN accompanies LAI-SA to shopping and he finds his aunt's court case really meaningful. LAI-SA finally decides to keep the baby. YAU MAT brings JAZZ to the countryside but JAZZ keeps complaining. KA-YING accidentally overhears that LO SO wants to tell LAW LAN the truth and she is very frightened……

LO SO lies to LAW LAN because of KA-YING. LAW LAN trusts him wholeheartedly and LO SO is very ashamed. LO SO accompanies LAW LAN to Taiwan to visit the seriously injured TAI-CHUNG. DOR-CHUN meets DICKSON, the ex-boyfriend of a famous lady, in the pub. DICKSON asks DOR-CHUN to help chasing for a huge amount of money from the famous lady but DOR-CHUN rejects him. DICKSON makes DOR-CHUN injured and SHING MING asks somebody to attack DICKSON. DICKSON sues SHING MING for harming him in return. DOR-CHUN blames SHING MING for making it a big deal and people are laughing at him after learning about the case. DOR-CHUN discovers that people are mocking him for sponging off his wife. He reveals to LAI-SA that he wants to move out and support their child's living by himself. YAU MAT accompanies JAZZ to walk around on his birthday but she feels that they are incompatible. LAW LAN is trapped in a lift and she tells LO SO her will……

KA-YING gives YAU MAT a disc related to the court case but YAU MAT finds JAZZ's MV inside. KA-YING wears the red dress to meet LO SO. She is grateful to LO SO for lying to LAW LAN because of her. However, LO SO reveals that he has told LAW LAN the truth already. LAW LAN wants to fight for SHING FONG's custody and LO SO will be representing her on court. KA-TING learns from SHING MING's doctor friend CC that SHING MING has changed completely after an injury over half years ago. SHING MING speaks for himself regarding the attack and he finally wins the court case. SHING MING refuses to have an operation and he asks SIU-NA to help issuing a termination letter to KA-TING. DOR-CHUN tries to find a new flat but SHING MING says that LAI-SA will not let him go. JAZZ says that KO KWAI has booked the pub for proposing marriage to his girlfriend and he invites YAU MAT to join. JAZZ proposes marriage to YAU MAT but the result is heartbreaking...

KA-YING receives a lawyer's letter from the CHUNG's family. KA-TING finally realizes that the CHUNG's family wants to fight for her son's custody. SHING MING represents KA-YING to negotiate with LO SO. KA-TING is out of her mind and she is injured in a traffic accident. LO SO reveals to KA-YING that KA-TING is not able to take care of SHING FONG even if she wakes up after the injury and he persuades KA-YING to give up the custody. DOR-CHUN asks LAI-SA to move to France together but LAI-SA replies that he is very selfish. FANNY asks JAZZ to help handling her divorce and she asks JAZZ to write a divorce song for her. YAU MAT tries to get close to JAZZ but JAZZ avoids it. MARY gives KA-YING a few nude photos of LAW LAN. KA-YING knows that these photos could help her to fight for her son's custody...

JAZZ believes that DOR-CHUN cannot escape from his current life but DOR-CHUN reveals that he has decided to move to France already. The four men keep sighing at the basketball court. They discover some young guys showing off their love affairs and they have mixed feelings on it. They decide to make their life decision with basketball. When it comes to LO SO's turn, LO SO reveals that he has no choice. LAW LAN asks LO SO where he has got those nude photos. She recalls the time when she forced LO SO to separate TING-HANG and KA-YING six years ago... KA-TING wakes up but she changes completely. She behaves like SHING MING and she reveals that she understand SHING MING totally. On FANNY's divorce party, JAZZ performs singing and YAU MAT is deeply touched. LAI-SA is pregnant for months already and she goes to a farmland in France to look for DOR-CHUN……
