"Company X Presents a Company Z Production" Clarification (Distributer vs Production Company)

Just making sure... if the opening credits for a movie says "Company X Presents a Company Z Production", that means that X is the company responsible for distribution while Z is the company responsible for the production of the film? And hence, we should remove X if someone has added it to the "Production Companies" section in an entry here on TVDb, and add Z instead?

And "a co-production with company Y" also counts, aye? Add company Y as a production company?
