Two recently laid-off men in their 40s try to make it as interns at a successful Internet company where their managers are in their 20s.

The Internship is a short film about race, class and privilege within the creative industries. It follows Josh, a young design graduate working in a dead end job has a chance meeting with his idol, a famous design magazine editor who offers him a rare and prestigious internship. However, he must convince a family to who internships mean an extra financial burden, and in an industry in which their culture has never really been well represented; that it’s a chance worth taking.

Stage: The Culinary Internship follows a group of interns during a nine month apprenticeship at one of the best restaurants in the world, Mugaritz. While the restaurant’s notorious avant-garde cuisine and creative working environment elevates these young hopefuls to think outside the confines of a kitchen, the extremely high standards prove to be mentally and physically exhausting. Ultimately, not everyone can handle the heat.

Six college students from different universities around the country are selected to participate in Econo Air's annual, company internship competition. Each student has dire reasons why they need to land this position that comes with pay and free tuition. For these reasons, and others, they cannot see the craziness that's going on all around them in the company.
