A large spider from the jungles of South America is accidentally transported in a crate with a dead body to America where it mates with a local spider. Soon after, the residents of a small California town disappear as the result of spider bites from the deadly spider offspring. It's up to a couple of doctors with the help of an insect exterminator to annihilate these eight legged freaks.

Remake of "Arachnophobia" (1990), in which a deadly South American spider hitches a ride inside a coffin to a small California town and starts to breed and kill.

This documentary pretty much tries to cure the viewer's assumed fear of spiders by shoving them in your face for over 45 minutes while explaining the underlying reasons why most of us dislike and/or fear them, and why we perhaps shouldn't

A behind-the-scenes look at the making of Arachnophobia, hosted by Mark Taylor.
