The American Baking Competition is a reality competition television series that premiered on CBS on May 29, 2013. It is based on the BBC baking competition The Great British Bake Off. The series aims to find the best amateur baker in the United States. The series is hosted by Jeff Foxworthy and judged by Marcela Valladolid and Paul Hollywood.

The American Sportsman was an American television series from 1965 to 1986 on ABC which presented filmed highlights involving the program's hosts and celebrities participating in hunting and/or fishing trips along with outdoor recreational activities such as whitewater kayaking, hang gliding and free climbing. It was typically presented on Sunday afternoons, frequently following coverage of live sporting events. From 1965 to 1967, the program was hosted by former South Dakota Republican Governor, American Football League commissioner, and World War II hero Joe Foss; it was later hosted by Grits Gresham, an outdoorsman from Natchitoches, Louisiana, and long-time sports announcer Curt Gowdy.

For me, The American Sportsman series was some of the best times in my life.”

The Native Americans is a three-part American television documentary miniseries that premiered on TBS on October 10, 1994. The remaining two episodes aired on October 11 and 13, 1994. Directed by John Borden, Phil Lucas and George Burdeau, the six-hour series explores the history of Native American cultures, with each hour of the series devoted to a particular region of the United States.

Music for the series was composed by Robbie Robertson in collaboration with other Native American and Canadian First Nations musicians, including Ulali, Rita Coolidge, Douglas Spotted Eagle and Kashtin, and was released on the album Music for The Native Americans.

The Great American Dream Vote is a reality television series hosted by Donny Osmond. It premiered on March 28, 2007 on ABC with a preview on March 27, 2007. The show featured contestants who wanted their dream to come true. The studio audience would pick the two finalists; those at home would select the winner via Internet voting. Despite the premiere's Dancing with the Stars lead-in, it only drew a less than 2.0 rating among audiences 18-49. ABC cancelled the show on March 29. The only known winner of the show was Russ Jowell, whose dream was to have a full head of hair.

The American Collection was a spinoff series of Masterpiece Theater, which ran from 2000 to 2003, for the former series' 30th anniversary. It was funded originally by Exxon Mobil; however, funding for both series was withdrawn in 2005. It aired on PBS. This was a widely acclaimed limited run program.

The Greatest American was a four-part American television series hosted by Matt Lauer in 2005. The show featured biographies and lists of influential persons in U.S. history, and culminated in a contest in which millions in the audience nominated and voted for the person they felt was the "greatest American". The competition was conducted by AOL and the Discovery Channel and reported on by the BBC.

The American Athlete is an American sports and interview television series created and hosted by Byron Allen. The series aired its first episode on June 1, 1996. It is filmed from the WABC-TV studios in New York City, and is aired in first-run syndication on various television stations around the United States, primarily those affiliated with ABC.

The case of Willaim Heirens is examined by American Justice. Heirens was arrested in 1946 for the murder of 45 year old Josephine Ross, 34 year old Francis Brown, and six year old Suzanne Degnan in Chicago. After the dismembered body of Degnan was found an outraged public and media put intense pressure on the Chicago police department to find the killer. Heirens is pegged for the crime and then confesses. In an interview with American Justice he claims he is innocent and forced into confessing.
