While she seems too often to be relegated to over the top mother/grandma roles these days, Susan Sarandon was a superb actress in her heyday and I hope that she gets another strong leading role sometime soon.

My personal favourite Sarandon roles: Atlantic City (why is that great breakthrough role not listed above?) and Thelma & Louise.
