Honorable Mentions: Edge of Tomorrow, Near Dark, Weird Science
The one thing I admire about Bill Paxton was that he seemed to get better with age. He was a little over the top and ultra-enthused in his early roles, but as he mellowed he really developed his craft.

I agree - he got better with age. Liked him in Aliens, but he was too over the top. Now, he was in a little forgotten gem of a movie from 1988 called "Pass the Ammo." Catch it if you can. Great cast and very topical premise.

Im going to add "The Greatest Game Ever Played". Bill Paxton didn't actually star in this movie. But he did direct it. Also Yeah Bill Paxton became a better actor with time. But there no denying those early over the top roles. Were very entertaining.
