Linda Lee (played by Helen Slater) is the cute girl you'd meet at school, all the while sitting behind her in the classroom and hoping to ask her for a date. Expect than the unexpected, when it turns out she has a secret identity.
Her real name is Kara Zor-El from Argo City, located once on the now destroyed planet Krypton. She has a famous cousin, Kal-El (a.k.a. Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman).
Her adversary is Selena, who possesses the Omegahedron, a power source from Argon City.

I watched this again recently after maybe 2 decades & surprisingly still enjoyed it despite some of the cheesiness. Forgot how funny the dialogue was at times, particularly from Dunaway who mostly stole the show. But I was madly in love with Slater here, she was quite a stunner & this got me to watch The Legend of Billie Jean which is another 80s classic.

I liked this film but I was very young at the time and I was obsessed with Superman so this was a nice addition. And yeah, she was so gorgeous. I always felt like it was a bit low budget and could have been better, even as a little kid I could tell this. But I never felt like it deserved such terrible reviews, but maybe if I watched it now I would agree with them. Good memories though.
