大选之夜，彼得（Ulrich Thomsen乌尔里克•汤姆森 饰）在酒吧会见朋友卡尔（Jens Jørn Spottag 饰），突然发现自己还未投票，于是匆匆忙忙打车赶往投票地点。但他的投票之路却并不顺力，搭载他的司机们要么是伊斯兰的憎恨者，要么是雅利安优良血统的鼓吹者，要么就是东方人的仇视者。无奈之下彼得只好冒雨狂奔冲向投票点，却因超过了时间被计票员（Hella Joof 饰）拦在门外。他的投票之路将何去何从呢？

I "Valgaften" møder vi Peter, en ung idealist, der har glemt at stemme. På sin hektiske vej til afstemningsstedet møder han en række diskussionslystne taxachauffører. Og Peter må vælge om han vil forsvare sine holdninger, eller om han vil nå at stemme.

On election night we meet Peter, an idealistic young man, who suddenly discovers he has forgotten to vote. On his way to the polls he encounters a variety of taxi drivers, all racist in their way and Peter has to decide whether to stand up for his convictions or getting to the polls on time. The film won an Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film.

En la noche de las elecciones, Peter, un joven idealista, descubre, de repente, que se ha olvidado de ir a votar y que dispone de poco tiempo. Camino de las urnas se encuentra con varios taxistas, todos racistas, pero cada uno a su manera. Tendrá entonces que decidir si es más importante entablar con ellos una batalla ideológica para defender sus principios y convicciones o llegar a tiempo a su colegio electoral.
