Discuss Jeepers Creepers

Right up to the point where they decide to check out the pipe & it just went downhill from there, and even more so when the monster is revealed. Those first few moments though with the truck were an astonishing exercise in nail-biting tension. If the movie had stayed on that level it could have truly been among the greatest of horror giants.

Yes, I agree. Some cool trivia, the first part of the movie was based off an episode of Unsolved Mysteries. Here it is

@SaltyGirl Thanks for sharing, I wasn't aware of that episode. Looks like JC took a lot from it including the stupidity of the 2 main characters, lol.

I completely agree. Though I haven't seen the movie in a good 10 years, give or take a few, I do recall think the first half of the movie was absolutely brilliant but once the monster is revealed it really lost its fear factor.

Sinister suffered the same problem. A great build up of mystery and tension but with a disappointing second half. Both films also had pointless sequels that had no chance of recreating that early atmosphere.

I agree, but I do think the slow reveal of what was chasing them turned out to be a great movie monster. Movies now a days don't really have a lot of creative horror villains and I think the creeper can stand up there with some of the greats. I didn't care too much for the sequel, but I am happy a 3rd one is coming soon.

The entire movie, including the first 20 minutes was terrible and stupid. I watched this long ago and I'm only watching it now, for the second and last time, because I just watched a YouTuber named TampaJay post a video about filming locations of this pile of trash. I'm interested in movie filming locations for any movie, even ones that are this bad... and also, I've driven down that highway a few times, I just wish I had known about this movie being filmed there. :)
