Discuss Memento

Sometimes I'm hesitant to go back and re-watch films that I have rated highly in the past or remembered as being excellent. This might be due to my new cynicism about films and the state of film making. Anyway, on a whim I re-watched Memento and wow...it holds up so well. Such a great film. I picked up new details, and enjoyed it all over again. I have to believe that if new films were of this caliber I would have the same response...how have we gone so far awry?

Nolan's problem = too much money

I have rewatched this film many times, and even now it still remains intriguing and refreshing. It's probably 10 or 15 minutes overlong but that doesn't matter too much because I love Guy Pearce's performance, along with the slightly off-tangent direction from Nolan.
