Very nice little twist with him(J.R.Meyers) being an FBI agent, but as for him(Banderas) waking up from dreaming the entire film, I felt that was in bad taste. Still a good thriller, better than a lot of the stuff I've been subjecting myself to. 7/10

the problem with twists are, when everyone talks about them ( and we cant escape it, even some trailers gives hints ) , they became predictable. the twist on this one was obvious mid movie and spoiled the ending for me..

The twist ruins the entire movie because it's so unbelievable. You can't just hold someone hostage because you suspect them of murder. That's not how the law works.

The second, lame, twist revealed it was all a dream so it really didn't matter how the law worked...

Lol, I actually typed that same notion out yesterday, but I got distracted and never hit post(I do that a lot), but it was about since it was all just a dream anyway the expectation for believable realistic rules of law are extremely loose at best and nonexistent at worst. So to demand 100% reality is a bit ludicrous imo. I do wish they didn't pull the dream stunt twist, for me that's the most irritating film ending in existence.

I 100% agree with you! I don't mind if it's ambiguous if it's all real or not, but when that's just how it is (like with this) you feel a bit cheated.
The Nic Cage film, Next, is another one that springs to mind.
