Discuss Tiger 3

Mme LeMarchand and I went to see this last night. I almost called it off as, for personal reasons, I was in a very black mood - but a couple of hours of total escapism had me on a much more even keel. Well worth a look if you like this sort of movie, though you probably need to have seen the 4 other "Spy Universe" movies, and definitely at least "Tiger Jinda Hai" and "Pathaan".

Anyway, our cinema (UK) was advertising a 122 minute running time which is pretty short for an Indian movie of this type. We were a little confused by the certification card being from the Irish board (didn't notice the certificate) and by the fact that we got home 30 minutes later than expected. On investigation, it seems as if the official UK release has been cut for violence to drop the certificate, but the time we spent in the screen and the card makes us suspect that we saw the uncut version - no complaints there! Different theatres seem to be advertising different running times, so who knows what's going on. If you're planning on viewing in the UK, it might be worth speaking to your theatre to check the actual running time if you want to see the uncut version.

Confusing. confused

In India the running time is 2 hours, 36 minutes (156 minutes). In the UK it is the same (on their site) in cinemas like ODEON, Cineworld and Everyman. In the REEL it is 122 minutes, while in The Light it is 165 minutes and in Vue it is 160 minutes. The latter two is not possible as the official uncut running time is 156 minutes. All have a 12A certificatte.

Ours is a REEL, but I'm pretty sure it was the full film and the IFCO only mention the 15A version at 155.48 while the BBFC says cuts, but still states 155.50! I'm sure the BBFC site used to go into a lot more detail about what they cut...

Not planning to see anything for a while, or I'd ask at the theatre.
