I don't watch or pay any attention to awards/award shows. Too often, I like what's not awarded, and don't care much for what is awarded. So, like what you like, and if you think she ought to have won that year, well, as far as you're concerned, she did! (if you were judge).

That said, in order for her to have won, she had to at least have been nominated. I'm not particularly enamored of any of the nominations or the winner, so I wouldn't say it's right that she didn't get more acknowledgement for the job you think she did; I'm only observing that, apparently, it wasn't close, FWIW (which probably isn't much!)

Filmbuff29, didja hear that during filming Burstyn's "I'm old" speech, a cameraman fogged up a camera lens because he was crying so hard?

Doesn't surprise me.

Kudos to her for eliciting that kind of emotional response...

...but aren't cameramen usually behind the camera while the lens is pointing at the set? I'm having difficulty picturing a cameraman walking around to the front lens of a camera and crying on it.

OK, maybe I used the wrong term for the part of it that the cameraman fogged up. My bad! But I'm not making this up.

Fair enough!
