Discuss Being John Malkovich

This is one of the worst and most ridiculous movies I’ve ever seen. Yet people consider this some kind of masterpiece.

It's supposed to be ridiculous, that's the point. Did you also hate Spinal Tap and Dr Strangelove?

Yeah, shit film. Awful. Wait...what?

Yeah yeah I knew I’d catch some heat over this. 😀 And no I’m not interested in talking about spinal tap or dr. Strangelobe. I’m talking about this movie. If you like it great.

No one's giving you heat. Simply put, if you don't understand deadpan absurdist humour, of course you won't get this movie. Definitely avoid Christopher Guest, Paul Thomas Anderson, Jim Jarmusch, Spike Jonze, Charlie Kaufman, Michel Gondry, Wes Anderson, the Coen brothers, Emir Kusturica, ...and basically all European Comedy.

You'll also end up taking a lot of my posts infinitely more seriously than is necessary

mech is the greatest deadpan absurdist since Leslie Nielsen 😐
