Discuss Eat Locals

A very flawed film with a decent cast, this tried to be a slapstick version of Dog Soldiers with vampires, told from (mostly) the vampire's perspective. A comedy horror that failed at being both and a story that really went nowhere using either old hat tropes (an old lady firing a big machine gun whilst swearing) or ripping off other films ("That isn't a knife, this is a knife!" © Paul Hogan 1986) it fell flat on almost every level. Avoid.

Yep, on paper it looked like it would tick the boxes for me in this kind of film - a good British cast (Eve Myles especially), vampires, comedy and a decent premise... I went into this blind as far as reviews and really hoped I (or rather the wife!) had found a hidden jem perhaps even the next 'What We Do in the Shadows' but alas...!

Yeah, was expecting more, everything seemed rather...cheap. Not sure what was the worst thing about it but the fight scene involving the Asian vampire with 6 or so soldiers was particularly bad.
