For me this seems the best place to post my reaction, with Alien being one of my favourite films. I was thinking how much not just the Ash character, but also his playing of it, formed the basis for the direction the Alien franchise took with Prometheus and Covenant. One of the most interesting android characters on screen and Ridley Scott has said that there were ticks that Holm put in that we never got to see in the finished film. I thought he was great in Greystoke and The Fifth Element to name but two others.

He was a solid part of a very good cast in Alien. RIP.
