Spousta rodin, jež se potýkají se zoufalým nedostatkem času, vidí v nejnovějších robotech s podobou milých babiček přímo ideální řešení nepříjemné situace. Elektronickou babičku totiž mohou naprogramovat na domácí práce, nákupy, výchovu dětí či na další užitečné činnosti a tím ušetřit hodně drahocenného času i peněz. Vynález se stal velmi záhy hitem. Každá lépe situovaná rodina si ho už pořídila, jen Loudovi stále zápasí s každou minutou. Přestože vůbec nic nestíhají a nemají téměř žádný volný čas, hlava rodiny je neoblomná žádný robot nepřekročí práh jejich domu. Jenže atmosféra u rodinného krbu houstne. Tchyně odmítá hlídat děti a vypomáhat v domácnosti, manželka je den ode dne kyselejší a poslední ranou do zad se stává návštěva sousedů, kteří nehovoří o ničem jiném. Je rozhodnuto.

Film waarin een doorsnee-gezin van de toekomst door een robot-grootmoeder wordt geterroriseerd, die conflicten met de buren uitlokt. Het gezin zou graag van de robot af willen maar de robot heeft hier hele andere ideeën over...

A family purchases a home robot designed to look like a grandmum. Their neighbours immediately buy a more expensivve model as the two families always try to up the other one. Both grandmums start to "terorize" their families because they were set up to ensure the mums exercise, the kids study etc. Apart from that they start causing problems to the other family ... cut ropes with hanging clothes, pierced tires, etc. Once they get to killing each other family's pets the parents get really worried about the safety of their kids. The grannys later destroy each other while fighting and the families decide that they'll be better off without any robots. (It's some time since I saw this so the details may be off.) Mainly thanks to the design of the robots it's rather a comedy than a horror. Unless you are ten. And a rather good comedy!
