... a direct prequel to TCM74 or tied in with the 2013 film...? Also does it tie-in with the films from the 2000s?

Ok, just watched Texas Chainsaw 2013 and it seems this and TC13 have tied themselves into the original TCM and shunted out all other entries in the franchise... So where the Platinum Dunes films are standalone entities in the series, are Texas Chainsaw 2, 3 and 4 now non-canon?

Yeah I watched the extras on the br and the producer said they were making more TCM films and thought maybe this was one of them, but looks like it's a different company... Maybe the TC13 people lost the rights..? Anyway, I didn't think this and TC13 were too bad, good for what they are!
