Discuss Rio Lobo

I mean come on, the acting here is horrible, BY EVERYONE! And yet, it still has a fog to it. It's not a feel, or a smell, it's a fog that rolls over you before you know it's arrived. This kind of movie pulls you in. I've always loved movies with clearly defined roles of good and bad and with a limited number of main characters (Just lets you get into the characters that ARE portrayed even more) and RL is right in my wheelhouse!

This is one of my favorite JW non-WW2 movies. I like his civil war pieces, and this one has one of the best stories of all of them. I must have watched this movie maybe 1000 times. It's like a security blanket. It's like watching The Wizard of Oz or It's a Wonderful Life. It's just a great story that wraps in you itself and all along, you know, in the end, everything will end OK.

Classic Duke. Classic Americana.

Haven't seen this in years. But you're making me want to rewatch it. Great post.
