Great make up job, for its time or any. I actually googled if Ladd had a wrist injury of his own.

Ha ha! When the film first started I thought that myself but then I noticed that the wrist was purposely in the shot, a lot. I thought that if his wrist was really screwed up they would be doing the utmost to keep it out of the shot. Then as the film progressed and it was made known that it was part of the film I thought it had to be phony.
