Discuter de Star Trek

I know that a lot of people are complaining about it being lesser than the originals. I have always been a Star Trek fan and love everything about the new movies, Kirk, Spock, Bones.... actually the whole cast. Looking forward to the 4th movie.

I've always been a huge fan of Star Trek, I watched the TOS repeats as a kid and watched TNG and all the others as they came out and I absolutely detest the JJverse Trek. I loath Trek 2009 for it's reworking of the characters to make them nothing like the originals (except for McCoy who was bloody good but severely under used).

I hate Trek 2009 for it's silly random occurrences like Kirk gets marooned on a random planet that could be anywhere in the quadrant and wanders into a random cave and BOOM oh hey there future Spock, fancy meeting you here. I know it's a film but it's like ending up in a plane crash and being stranded on a tropical island and walking into a cave and for no reason at all you find your best friend sitting there. That sounds stupid just on one planet, How absurd is it to happen on a galaxy wide scale.?....very.

I hate Trek Into Darkness for the same things and it's reworking of TWOK, it was one of the most eye rolling things I've ever watched.

Surprisingly I kind of like the third film. Apart from the silly alien start, and the stupid Kirk monologue "I'm so board with our mission, I want to quit". I guess it probably ended up better because Simon Pegg was aloud to rewrite the script himself to be more Star Trek like. I really dread to think what it was like before that.

I like JJ Abrams. I think he is good for the Star Wars franchise. But they should have left the saga of the old characters alone. I would have appreciated it had they created new story lines with a new federation starship and a new crew.

I think it would of been interesting if they fit the story within continuity of the original series.

I was okay with the 2009 film and felt that the cast's charisma carried the day even if the villain was weak. (Not only was the rationale for his tirade nonsense, but Eric Bana can't act his way out of a paper bag.)

I loathed Into Darkness because of how it crapped all over Wrath. Not at first, though. I found it decent enough until they literally stole the engine room sequence and swapped the dialog between Kirk and Spock. Dialog that was entirely out of character and a scene that felt undeserved due to how fresh the reboot still was as a franchise. Also, the criminal neglect for Urban's McCoy really pissed me off.

The third film was predictable and forgettable and the motocross segment was beyond silly. From the amount of time Scotty received, it was obvious that Pegg wrote the film.

Instead of being its own thing, it's trying too hard to live up to the original. It feels more like a photocopy than a set of fresh ideas.

Personally, I like them! All 3. Yes, there are definite weaknesses, and I will never argue that they are perfect or wonderful films, but I love the sense of fun in them! I just enjoy them, nothing more. Definitely not my favorite movies ever, but a great way to waste some time!

Also, I totally agree that Urban's McCoy is criminally underused!

The 2009 movie is like the first season of the series in 2 hours. Into Darkness is the second season, ambitious but mostly flawed. The third movie seems to go silly and hockey, like the third season... anyone else picked up this vibe like me?

I loved Star Trek (2009)! Everything about it. Bruce Greenwood was good as Captain Pike, Taran Fadir did a great job as Captain Rauhle (sorry about my spelling), and Chris Pine as Captain Kirk was a hoot.
