The Original Title was "Man from Earth" without "The"

When i rented this years ago i remember seeing the title as Man from Earth, without "The" in front. The artwork i saw said Jerome Bixby's (small text above) Man from Earth (large text below).
I did a search and there are so many different versions of the artwork, but just about all have "The" sitting on top of the left hump of the "M" in Man. You have to look hard in some because its inside the rising light emanating from the "M", while in others its easily seen.
I thought i was crazy, but, somewhat sadly, my proof was first found here even though the site also titles it with "The" in front. Notice in the image it's not only gone from the top of the "M" but look down in the credits and notice it clearly reads, JEROME BIXBY'S "MAN FROM EARTH". They obviously changed it. I rather like the original.
